Photo Portfolio: Cedar Shakes

Cedar Shakes are thicker, and have a handsplit surface, creating a rustic and more rugged appearance. Sizes start at a 1/2" butt thickness (Mediums), and up to a 1-1/4+ butt thickness (Jumbos). Also, the application varies from that of a shingle, as felt strips are used in between the courses, unless installed with a tighter reveal or exposure.
