Description: Wallaba shingles are manufactured from sustainably harvested logs of Wallaba wood which is one of the most abundant timber species in Guyana. Wallaba is a dense tropical hardwood which is light red to reddish-brown in color. The texture is rather coarse, and the grain is typically straight. The benefits of Wallaba include: They are naturally resistant to insects and decay, have withstood category 5
hurricane winds, are the highest fire-rated wood shingle, and typically have a lifespan of 50 years, or more.
